The fixed phrases that ARE the Schreiben and Sprechen grade
A1 examiners grade three fixed-phrase slots explicitly in Schreiben Teil 2 (Anrede, Gruß, closing = 1 point) and the whole of Sprechen Teil 1 runs on greeting formulas. These are free points — learn them as fixed blocks, not grammar.

Formal letter/email openers

EXAM:Schreiben Teil 2 — the 1 Anrede point.
Informal openers
Liebe Anna, / Lieber Ben,
EXAM:Lesen Teil 1: recognize who writes to whom.
Formal closings
Mit freundlichen Grüßen + Name
EXAM:Schreiben — the other half of that point.
Informal closings
Viele Grüße / Bis bald + Vorname
EXAM:matches the informal opener — don't mix registers.
Polite requests
Können Sie mir bitte …? / Ich möchte … / Würden Sie …?
EXAM:Sprechen Teil 3 and Schreiben: „Bitte senden Sie mir …“
Sie vs. du — one choice per conversation
Sie for offices, teachers, hotels; du for friends, family, children
EXAM:Sprechen: choose ONE form for the whole exam.

THE TRAPS — WHERE POINTS DIE
- !Register mixing: „Liebe Frau Sonntag … Mit freundlichen Grüßen“ is fine, but „Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren … Viele Grüße, Timo“ loses the register point.
- !Forgetting the NAME after the closing — the formula includes it; a closing without a name is incomplete.
