SHEET 04 · ÖSD A1

Schreiben: das Formular

10 items, banded 5→0 — the highest points-per-minute in the whole exam

Schreiben A1 is a 10-item form filled from a short scenario — names, dates, choices. Grading is BANDED: 10 correct items = 5 points, 9–8 = 4, 7–6 = 3… Every single item moves the band. Spelling errors are forgiven if the meaning is clear; wrong CONTENT is not.

THE RULES — AND WHERE THE EXAM TESTS THEM

  • Dates: any clear German format counts

    26.11.1979 / 26.11.79 / 26-11-1979

EXAM:Official rule (Modellsatz): day-month-year must be identifiable — pick ONE format and stay consistent.

  • Names: copy exactly from the scenario

Petra Huber → Nachname: Huber · Vorname: Petra

EXAM:The #1 half-lost point: writing the first name in the Nachname row. Read the row label twice.

  • Choice rows: exactly ONE cross

    Frühstück: ja ☒ / nein ☐

EXAM:Two crosses = 0 for the row (official rule). Read the scenario for „ohne/mit“ before crossing.

  • Spelling is forgiven, meaning is not

„Doppelzimmer“ typed as „Dopelzimmer“ still counts

EXAM:Official: kein Abzug bei Orthografiefehlern, solange die Bedeutung klar ist.

  • Capital vs small is NOT forgiven on nouns

„huber“ vs „Huber“ — lowercase names still count (case-insensitive rows)

EXAM:But consistent case helps: nouns capitalized is the A1 norm and protects you.

  • Derived numbers: count on your fingers

    vom 12. bis 15. → 3 Nächte, but 4 Tage

EXAM:Nächte vs Tage items are deliberate traps — nights = difference, days = difference + 1 (when inclusive).

MINI-DRILL — COVER THE ANSWERS FIRST

  • Scenario: „Sie ist am 3. Februar 1984 geboren." Geburtsdatum row?

    03.02.1984 (or 3.2.1984 — both count)

  • Scenario: „vom 12. bis zum 15. Juli". Anzahl Nächte?

    3 (15 − 12)

  • Scenario says „mit Frühstück". Choice row shows ja / nein. Cross?

    ja — exactly one cross

  • Name row after „Ihr Freund, Ricardo Torres"?

Nachname: Torres — never the first name

THE TRAPS — WHERE POINTS DIE

  • !The scenario's second sentence often CHANGES an earlier fact („zuerst 3 Personen, dann kommt die Oma“) — the LAST statement wins.
  • !Leaving a row empty because it feels uncertain: an empty row is ALWAYS 0, a plausible reading of the scenario sometimes scores.
  • !Choosing the choice row that rhymes with a nearby word („Kreditkarte“ appears but the scenario says „bar“) — the öSD writes decoy options from the scenario's vocabulary.
