SHEET 05 · ÖSD A1

Sprechen: vorstellen + Bild

4 of 6 topics · one photo · one dialog — 25 points in 10 minutes

The öSD oral is monologue-first: you pick 4 of 6 topic cards and introduce yourself, then describe ONE of three photos with four fixed questions, then role-play the same photo as a dialog. 12 of 25 points pass the module. Every part rewards PREPARED language, not spontaneity.

THE RULES — AND WHERE THE EXAM TESTS THEM

  • Prepare all 6 topics, present your best 4

Name/Alter, Wohnort, Familie, Beruf, Sprachen, Hobbys

EXAM:Sprechen A1: you choose AFTER seeing the cards — but the six are always the same six.

  • Two sentences per topic is enough

„Ich komme aus Syrien. Jetzt wohne ich in Wien."

EXAM:A1 graders want simple correct sentences; long broken sentences score worse.

  • The photo questions are ALWAYS the same four

Was sehen Sie? · Wie viele Personen? · Wo? · Was machen sie?

EXAM:Sprechen A2: memorize one sentence-pattern per question — the photos change, the grammar doesn't.

  • Numbers you can defend

„etwa fünf Personen“ beats a wrong exact count

EXAM:A2 question 2 is a counting trap with busy photos — hedge with etwa.

  • A3 is a DIALOG — you must ask too

    „Was kostet das?“ / „Haben Sie …?"

EXAM:Redewechsel (turn-taking) is a graded criterion; monologuing costs points.

  • du or Sie — pick per role and stay

    Verkäufer: Sie · Kind/Nachbar: du

EXAM:A3 register consistency is explicitly named in the grading sheet.

MINI-DRILL — COVER THE ANSWERS FIRST

  • Photo question 3 (Wo?) — give one safe sentence.

„Sie sind in einem Geschäft / auf dem Markt / in der Küche."

  • You forget the word for Verkäuferin. Survive the sentence.

„Die Frau dort verkauft Gemüse“ — umschreiben statt stoppen

  • A3: you're the customer. Your first two sentences?

„Guten Tag! Ich möchte gern … / Was kostet das, bitte?"

  • A1 topic „Sprachen“ — two sentences, A1-level.

„Ich spreche Arabisch und Englisch. Deutsch lerne ich seit drei Monaten."

THE TRAPS — WHERE POINTS DIE

  • !Reciting a memorized self-introduction when the examiner asks a direct question — the Nachfrage checks listening, not memory.
  • !A2: describing what people WEAR or look like — the four questions ask actions and place, not appearance.
  • !A3: answering only in single words — even simple full sentences („Ja, ich möchte ein Kilo Äpfel, bitte“) score on Formale Richtigkeit.
