RESOURCES

The free resources that survive scrutiny.

Not a museum of every app — a short list where each entry has one job it does well, matched to your level. Everything here is free, established, and used by the 77-day roadmap itself.

COURSES — THE SPINE

  • Nicos Weg — Deutsche Welle

A free video curriculum (A1→B1) with a story spine, professionally sequenced lessons, exercises and printable sheets. The strongest free German course in any language.

Complete, free without asterisks, public broadcasting.

  • Goethe-Institut — practice materials

Official model tests for every level (Start Deutsch A1/A2 and up), free PDFs and audio.

The exam rehearsal material — nothing else is the real format.

LISTENING — IN THE COMPREHENSION BAND

  • Langsam gesprochene Nachrichten — DW

The day's news read slowly for learners, with transcript. The transcript protocol applies directly.

Daily, graded, current — the bridge to real audio.

  • Easy German (YouTube)

Street interviews with dual subtitles (German + English), level-tagged.

Real speech at learner speed; the A2 on-ramp to native audio.

SPEAKING — SOLO FIRST

  • Your course audio + a timer

Shadowing: repeat the episode dialogue aloud, matching sound and rhythm. Ten minutes daily.

The highest-leverage solo drill there is — and free.

  • Tandem partners (when A1 is banked)

Goethe's practice portal lists exchange formats; any weekly human conversation works.

Correction and unpredictability, after the motor base exists.

VOCABULARY — SPACED, NOT CRAMMED
