Nebensätze & Konnektoren: weil · dass · wenn · ob · Verb ans Ende — und die Verbinder, die nicht umstellen
telc grades connected language in Schreiben Teil 2 and listens for it in Sprechen Teil 3. The Nebensatz is one rule — the conjugated verb moves to the END — but the connector family around it is where candidates lose points: deshalb/trotzdem/dann move the verb, denn and und do not. Learn the two groups separately and half your writing fixes itself.

Wechselpräpositionen & Dativ/Akkusativ · Wohin? → Akkusativ · Wo? → Dativ · neun Präpositionen
telc A2 asks where things are and where people go in nearly every part: the Hören announcements, the Lesen Teil 1 board („Sie sind im Erdgeschoss und suchen …“) and the Sprechen planning task. One question decides the case — Wohin? takes the Accusative, Wo? takes the Dative. Nine prepositions switch: in, an, auf, über, unter, vor, hinter, neben, zwischen.

Perfekt & Präteritum · Zwei Vergangenheiten, drei Muster, kein Zweifel
In telc A2 the past is everywhere: the Hören announcements look back („Ich habe den Termin verschoben“), Lesen Teil 2 tells a story, and in Sprechen Teil 1 you talk about your work history. You do NOT need the full Präteritum — only sein, haben and the modal verbs have one at A2. Three patterns cover every past sentence the paper can ask for.

telc A2's oral Teil 3 is worth a quarter of the speaking score, and it is a negotiation: you must propose, object, compare and agree. That runs on a small grammatical toolkit — comparatives, sollen/würde/könnten, and the polite no. Learn these as patterns; they are the highest-yield sentences in the whole exam for their length.

Formular, Register & Antwortbogen · Die fünf Lücken, die Anrede — und der Bogen, der mitzählt
This sheet is not grammar; it is the paper itself. Schreiben Teil 1 is a form fed from two sources, telc puts the answer letters on the S30 Antwortbogen, and Lesen Teil 3 has exactly one task with no matching ad. These are fixed conventions worth real points — and unlike grammar, they can be memorised in an hour.
