DAS ÖSD PAPER ZÄHLT, WAS ANDERE ÜBERSPRINGEN

You can score 40 of the 70 written points and still fail. öSD has floors per subtest — and they are printed in the official Bestehensgrenzen, not in forum folklore.

By exam day the seat is paid for, the preparation is booked, the months are spent. What fails öSD A2 candidates is rarely the German — it is the floor they never knew existed. The rule is verbatim from the Durchführungsbestimmungen: at least 35 of 70 overall, at least 5 of 25 in Lesen and at least 6 of 30 in Hören — and fewer than 5/6 fails the WHOLE written module, whatever the total says. Most free Modelltests score one point per item and never mention any of this. DIE ÖSD-RECHNUNG — DREI MASCHINEN IM HÖREN ALLEINE

Hören alone is worth more than Lesen — 30 against 25 — and its three Aufgaben are scored by three different machines. No other A2 paper does anything like it.

AUFGABE 1 — 8 STICHWÖRTER, GENAU 4 RICHTIG

Scored 10/7/4/1/0 — and the penalties are verbatim: five ticks cost 3 points, more than five cost everything. Two texts tell the same story with contradicting details; only four keywords survive. Tick a fifth keyword here and watch the −3 appear before you ever sit the real paper.

AUFGABE 2 — DAS NOTIZBLATT

Five typed gaps, heard TWICE, scored 10/8/6/4/2/0. The key is generous — 2/zwei and Freitag/Fr both count — except the phone number, which must be digit-for-digit correct or scores nothing.

AUFGABE 3 — FÜNF SPRECHER, JE ZEILE 2/1/0

Multiple answers per person — and the rule that hurts: a correct box you left EMPTY counts as wrong. One error in a row still earns 1 point; more than one earns none.

  • •The öSD's own Übungsmaterialien band (ISBN 978-3-902440-095-2) is the honest reference: one Modellprüfung plus three Übungssätze with commentary per task type.
  • •Generic A2 prep books (Goethe- or telc-shaped) do not carry öSD's task types at all: the 8-keyword tick task, the typed Notizblatt, the per-row all-or-nothing checklist and the banded one-e-mail exam exist in no other A2 paper.
