THE TELC A1 PATTERN — WHAT THE DAY LOOKS LIKE

  • —Hören ~20 min (Teil 1 twice · Teil 2 ONCE · Teil 3 twice) → Lesen + Schreiben one 45-minute block → 10 min to transfer your answers onto the Antwortbogen — that step is part of the telc clock.
  • —In the real telc room, answers only count ON THE ANSWER SHEET. Practice the transfer: 10 minutes, 45 answers.
  • —Pass: 60 of 100 (raw 45 × 1,66). No minimum per section — but never leave a Kreuz empty.

  • How is the telc A1 paper different from the Goethe A1 paper?

    The certificate is the same Start Deutsch 1 exam, but telc runs it its own way: Hören, Lesen and Schreiben are sat in one 75-minute rhythm with Lesen and Schreiben sharing a single 45-minute block, and after the block you get ten minutes to transfer every answer onto the machine-readable Antwortbogen — that transfer is part of the exam. telc then scales your raw score (max 45) by 1,66 and grades on the result: 60 of 100 is the pass.

  • What score do I need to pass telc A1?

    60 of 100 Ergebnispunkte — 36 of the 60 raw points after the × 1,66 scaling. There is no per-section minimum at A1, so a strong section can carry a weak one; but a blank on the answer sheet earns nothing, so nothing should stay blank. The official Prädikate bands (sehr gut down to teilgenommen) are printed on the result sheet.

  • What exactly is in the kit?

    Three full telc A1 mock papers — Hören, Lesen, Schreiben and Sprechen in the official grid, including the shared 45-minute block and the Antwortbogen transfer — each with its own solution book and complete transcripts, plus five grammar cheat sheets placed where telc tests them.   • Is this an official telc paper?

    No. These are Germanium's own mock papers calibrated to telc's published format — telc's Übungstest 1 is free on telc.net and worth doing. This kit is the additional rehearsal: more papers, worked reasoning on every item, and a clock that runs the transfer the way the room does.

  • Who takes telc A1?

    Integration-course finishers and anyone booked at a Volkshochschule or licensed telc centre — in Germany the telc edition of Start Deutsch 1 is the default sitting. Spouse-visa candidates also sit it when their process accepts telc.
